1. Are the programs free?
Most of our programs are free or low cost. with the exception of our monthly Dinner Night and Movie Nights which vary with cost based on participants choice of meals or snacks.

2. My child has special needs, what can he/she participate in with Parks and Recreation?
In 2017 we have many returning programs and a whole new line up coming for the Therapeutics program that includes:
Special Olympics (choices in 10 sports)
Cooking & Gardening
Model Car or Wood Building Classes
Fitness Group
Comedy Club
Deer Licks Reading Room & Media Center
Explore Georgia
Pickleball

3. How old does my child have to be to compete in Special Olympics?
You must be 18 or older to compete with Douglas County in the Special Olympics. if you are under the age of 18, you may compete and find information through the Board of Education. A medical form must be on file and can be found online under downloads and listed as participation form
