The Comprehensive Land Use Plan is a guide for the future of Douglas County. This plan will serve as a blueprint for development and growth over the next 20 years.
Douglas County Plan Update - 2013
2013 kicks off the official update to the Douglas County Comprehensive Plan. The Douglas County Board of Commissioners has appointed a thirteen member stakeholder committee to work with the Atlanta Regional Commission and Staff to identify the issues and vision for the County for the next twenty years as well as to develop a work program for addressing these issues and implementing the vision for the County with a draft plan. Once this draft plan is developed, it will be presented at a series of public meetings with the goal being to gather public comment on the document before the final plan is adopted. These public meetings will take place over the summer. Once the comments are gathered and taken into consideration, the final document will be made available for review with final adoption scheduled no later than October 15, 2013.
