COVID-19 Update:

Dear Douglas County Citizens:

Effective May 1st beginning at noon, the following trails and/or walking tracks, and disc golf courses will reopen for public use and thereafter will be open daily 8:00 a.m. until dark.:

All facilities, restrooms, pavilions, and playgrounds are still closed to the public. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Clinton Park Overview:

CLINTON NATURE PRESERVE is located at 8720 Ephesus Church Road one mile west of Post Road. The Post Road/Ephesus Church Road intersection is one-half mile south of the Post Road/Interstate 20 interchange.

This 200-acre park was donated to Douglas County by Ms. Annie Mae Clinton. The park is required by Ms. Clinton's will to remain in its natural state as much as possible. The park contains nature trails and open exploration areas.

A half-mile walking track encircles the Junior League ADA accessible playground, the first of its kind in Douglas County.

Located just a one-mile hike into the woods is the Carnes Cabin, a pre-Civil War residence, that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The park is open seven days a week during daylight hours.

Unless otherwise reserved, all Douglas County outdoor park facilities are available on a first-come first-serve basis

Payment in the form of cash, check or credit card must be made in full at the time of registration/reservation.

You can bring your payment to the reservation office at Deer Lick Park, 2105 Mack Road, Douglasville, GA and complete the entire process in person. The office is open Monday - Saturday, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Sundays 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. Guest Services is located in the Deer Lick Activity Center.

There are four pavilions available for rental at the Clinton Nature Preserve. The most popular one is located next to the playground and is great for birthday parties and family reunions. There is also one below the Clinton House that can accommodate larger groups up to 50 people. There are two more single picnic tables available for rentals as well.

The Clinton Nature Preserve is available to non-profit groups for campouts (e.g. Boy Scouts). Campouts must be reserved in advance by filling out a reservation form.
