WHAT IS IT?
The Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) was established for the purpose of stabilizing communities that have been severely impacted by foreclosures and abandonment. We buy foreclosed homes, fix them up and then sell them to qualified buyers.

NSP 3 Target Area Map Amendment - Fall 2013
On September 1, 2013, Douglas County advertised that it would open a 15-day comment period on an amendment to the NSP 3 Target area map. The proposed amended area is generally bound by the following: Highway 92/Fairburn Road at Midway Road south to Mount Vernon Road and northeast along Mount Vernon Road to Skyview Drive and east along Skyview to Highway 6/Thornton Road. Then, generally northwest along Thornton Road to Highway 78/Bankhead Highway west to South Burnt Hickory Road. On September 4, 2013 that map was posted as a downloadable document on this page and titled 2013 Proposed NSP3 Target Area Expansion and the comment period commenced. On September 19, 2013 at 5:00 PM the comment period closed. Douglas County received no public comment in person, via phone or email during the public comment period.

Services for Non-English Speakers
Residents and program applicants who speak Spanish can receive translation assistance in the Douglas County Courthouse. Residents and program applicants who speak other languages will receive reasonable accommodation for translation at the Courthouse. All notices, pages, etc posted on the Douglas County website are able to be translated by Google Translate which appears at the bottom of each page on the Douglas County website.
