The Dog River Public Library, your "library in the woods," is located on Hwy 5, just one mile south of the Dog River or one mile north of the Hwy 166 roundabout.

Current Library Hours:
  • Monday and Wednesday: Closed to the Public
  • Tuesday and Thursday: 9 am -10 am for Vulnerable Patrons & 10 am - 6 pm for the public
  • Friday: 9 am - 10 am for Vulnerable Patrons & 10 am - 4 pm
  • Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Curbside Pickup Hours

Children & Family Programming
Join us every week for fun and exciting Children's Programming.

Bouncing Babies
Tuesdays 9:30-10:00 am
Ages birth to pre-walking
This storytime, designed for babies and those just beginning to walk, is the perfect introduction to books, stories, and music. Parents will learn skills to use as their baby’s first teacher as we listen to stories, sing, move around, play with toys and more!
Wee Little Readers
Tuesdays 10:30-11:30 am
Ages Walker to 3 years
This is a fun, high energy storytime featuring books, rhymes, dances, music, and more that will help your child’s speech development and motor coordination.
Pre-K Storytime
Thursdays 10:30-11:15 am
Ages 3 to 5 years
Let’s start getting ready for Kindergarten! In this storytime we’ll develop literacy skills by reading books aloud, reciting rhymes together, singing songs, making crafts, and more.
Toddler Playgroup
1st & 3rd Friday each month 10:30-11:30 am
Ages 0-3 years
Join us for a morning of free play and socialization for toddlers and their caregivers. We’ll provide you with books and toys to play with interact with your child.

Teen & Adult Programming
