The Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department welcomes you to explore nearly 2,000 acres of park land and other recreation facilities in Douglas County. You will have no difficulty finding an activity that suits your interest. The Department offers a variety of activities in our parks, seasonal and special events at local school facilities, and other activities in cooperation with local clubs and civic organizations. The Department sponsors summer day camps; activities for seniors, adults and youth; and various athletic leagues and tournaments. We work with area youth associations and facilitate them through yearly park use agreements in order to provide supervised activities for Douglas County youth.
