Where? Downtown Douglasville The annual Veterans Day Lighted Parade is always held on Veterans Day regardless of the day of the week. The Lighted Parade lines up beginning at 5:30 p.m. in front of Douglas County High School, and steps off at 7 p.m. The parade route is north on Campbellton Street, west on Church Street, and south on Bowden, Woodrow and Campbellton back to the high school. Entry into the parade is free, but all units are required to register by calling 770.920.7593 or e-mailing dctv23@co.douglas.ga.us. All parade units must salute veterans, active military, reserves and/or the US Flag. No self-promotion is allowed (no political candidates, no beauty queens, etc.).
