Living. Growing. Prospering.
Douglasville, GA- In November of 2017, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA) announced its plan to make a significant contribution to the Douglas County Juvenile Court Reading Room by donating $2,000 worth of books for children to read and take home.
The reading room is located just outside the Douglas County Juvenile Court chambers and was created to provide a colorful, child-friendly waiting area for children who must attend court proceedings. Since its opening in 2016, the reading room has received several donations but this is one of the largest donations to date.
On January 29, 2018, attorneys Jeff Shiver and Alan J. Hamilton, with Shiver Hamilton, LLC, Bethaney Embry Jones with The Embry Law Firm, LLC and Calie Brice with The Brice Law Firm, LLC all represented the GTLA in the presentation of delivering the books at the Douglas County Courthouse's Juvenile Court Reading Room. Chief Juvenile Court Judge Peggy Walker and James Massie, Juvenile Court Reading Room coordinator were on hand to receive the donation from the GTLA.
The reading room is operated strictly on the donations of the community. If you would like to make a donation to support the reading room, you can contact James Massie at 770-920-7363 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org or Debbie McDonald at 770-920-7245 or email at email@example.com.
