The Douglas County Department of External Affairs is now accepting applications from high school sophomores and juniors for the Douglas County Youth Commission.
The program is dedicated to educating young citizens about the importance of being actively conscious of their local government environment and the opportunities available in the public sector. This program is in partnership with the Georgia Civic Awareness Program for Students (GCAPS) of the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia ACCG Georgia Counties and the Douglas County Citizen's Academy Alumni Association.
The program will run from September through April and will meet once a month on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. For more information, please send an email to email@example.com. Applications will be due September 7th and the program will start on September 25th.
