Expenditures on prescription drugs in the United States continues to trend upward and is estimated to outpace growth in other parts of the healthcare division in 2018.
However, Douglas County is among those communities committing being aligned with our strategic priority to promote enhanced public safety, public health and well-being for our citizens, said Douglas County Commission Chairman, Dr. Romona Jackson Jones. The Board of Commissioners is proud to announce Douglas County has joined the ranks with several other local governments in Georgia partnering with Coast2Coast Rx to provide free discount prescription cards to residents in Douglas County. Coast2Coast Rx program is a free prescription discount card provided by the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG).
This free discount prescription card provides Douglas County residents with a valued means to help maintain their health and well-being at a reasonable cost. As a result, Coast2Coast discount prescription cards are being placed in multiple locations throughout Douglas County to include senior centers, public health department, and libraries to ensure as many citizens as possible have the potential to acquire the benefits of this free discount card. Most of the pharmacies and drugstores located in Douglas County honor the Coast2Coast Rx card.
