Douglasville, GA - The Douglas County Board of Commissioners proclaimed April to be Boys and Girls Club month on April 2, 2019. The proclamation says that the young people of Douglas County are tomorrow's leaders, and that many of them need professional youth services to help them be able to achieve their full potential.
On an annual basis the Douglas County Boys and Girls Club serves more than 200 young people. The Club helps to instill young people with self-confidence to believe they can succeed at anything they put their mind to. They also stand at the forefront of efforts in the areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Leadership.
The Boys and Girls Club organizations in Georgia give young people a safe, supportive place to spend time, and provide them with quality youth development programs.
Therefore the month of April is Boys and Girls Club month in Douglas County, Georgia. Douglas County encourages all citizens to join in recognizing and commending Boys and Girls Clubs in Georgia for providing the young people of our communities with comprehensive and effective youth development services.
