Living. Growing. Prospering.
Beautification throughout Douglas County is a major priority for Dr. Romona Jackson Jones, Chairman of the Douglas County Board of Commissioners. Most recently, County Administrator Mark Teal and Chairman Jones collaborated with Georgia Department of Transportation to seek permission to enhance the medians along Fairburn Rd/State Highway 92 starting across I-20 down to the Route 166 intersection.
Chairman Jones said, "This is a significant beautification milestone along this highly traveled corridor in Douglas County." The project is scheduled to start on Friday, May 3rd, 2019, weather permitting. The scope of the work includes lawn maintenance such as mowing, weed eating and edging where grass has overgrown sides of medians and mulching. Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution if they see workers along the roadway doing the work.
