Douglasville, GA - Douglas County Commission Chairman Romona Jackson Jones' next "Walking The Talk Listening Session" for 2019 is happening on Monday, June 10, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at the Lithia Springs Public Library, 7100 Turner Drive, Lithia Springs, Ga.
Chairman Jones' series of quarterly listening sessions are open to the public and designed for participation as opposed to a presentation style. Douglas County residents are invited to share their thoughts on the way the county government is operating to the Chairman. Admission is free and open to the public. "My effort to hold these quarterly listening sessions is part of my commitment for enhanced government transparency," said Chairman Jones.
Future "Walking The Talk Listening Sessions" are planned for Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the September Saturdays festival at the Douglas County Courthouse, and on November 2, 2019 at the Douglas County Public Library, 6810 Selman Drive, Douglasville, Ga.
"I am looking forward to each of my listening sessions scheduled throughout the year. These events are special because it provides another opportunity to connect with the citizens of Douglas County and listen to their needs," Chairman Jones said. "I believe we as a county will continue to grow if we are willing to listen to each other and build relationships to become the standard of excellence in the State of Georgia."
