Douglasville, GA - The Douglas County Board of Commissioners announce the promotion of Sabrina Cogburn to become the next Assistant Finance Director for the Douglas County Board of Commissioners. Cogburn, who previously worked as a Senior Accountant, will report directly to Finance Director Jennifer Hallman.

"Promoting Sabrina as Assistant Finance Director was a very easy decision to make," said Douglas County Finance Director Jennifer Hallman. "She is very dedicated to her job and a great team player. She will continue to add tremendous value to both the Finance Department and Douglas County."

At a recent Douglas County Work Session Meeting before the Board of Commissioners, Dr. Romona Jackson Jones, Chairman of the Douglas County Board of Commissioners introduced Cogburn to the public. "As a Certified Public Accountant with a Masters in Professional Accounting, I believe Sabrina is a great fit for the job," Chairman Jones said. "Sabrina's promotion shows growth and opportunities for career advancement are alive and well in Douglas County."

Cogburn believes the promotion is a blessing in disguise. "I am very thankful for the opportunity and look forward to serving Douglas County in this new role," Cogburn said. "I have enjoyed my eight years with the County and feel blessed to further my career within the Finance Department.
