Living. Growing. Prospering.
Douglasville, GA - The Douglas County Information Systems Department through the Board of Commissioners has announced a recent addition to its staff. Mr. Dat Luu joined the team as a Network and Systems Security Manager. "As a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), his primary role will be to lead the efforts of our Networking and Systems teams as we continue our commitment to provide a secure and highly available computing environment," Douglas County Director of Information Services Russ Martin said.
Luu has hit the ground running since joining Douglas County from the City of Smyrna where he worked in a similar capacity in information technology.
"In 2019, we completed a renovation of the courthouse for physical security purposes and now we look to continue enhancing our security efforts to protect citizens in a different way, by protecting their data," Chairman Dr. Romona Jackson Jones, Douglas County Board of Commissioners said. "We have been diligently providing Cyber-Awareness training for our employees, helping provide them the ability to recognize and react to threats both here at work and in life outside the office."
"Dat has already proven to be a huge asset since joining the IS team," Martin said. "To have a resource with Dat's skillset solely focused on cyber-security has been a great benefit. In addition to awareness tips and advice for employees, Dat has already begun to identify areas in need of security improvements and implemented various new security measures, as well as, enhanced various security features that we already had in place."
