EARLY VOTING IN DOUGLAS COUNTY BEGINS MONDAY, MARCH 2ND


Douglasville, GA - Early voting for citizens of Douglas County begins Monday, March 2nd at 8:00 a.m. at the Douglas County Courthouse located at 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville, Ga. 30314. "Early voting will run for three weeks at the Courthouse for the presidential primary and ESPLOST,' said Elections Director Milton Kidd. "From March 9th to 13th, we will open our senior early voting center at the Woodie Fite Senior Center located nearby at 8750 Dorris Road, Douglasville, Georgia, 30314."

From March 16th to March 20th, the Douglas County Elections Department will open four additional sites for early voting. Boundary Waters Aquatic Center, Dog River Library, Deer Lick Park, and the Old Douglas County Courthouse at 6754 Church St, Douglasville are the locations. Citizens are welcome to call the courthouse at 770-920-7213 during the hours of 8:00 a.m- 5:00 p.m. and schedule a ride to a polling location. We ask for 24 hours in advance notice.

"To make voting convenient for people who work during the week, we will have Saturday early voting from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on March 14th here at the Douglas County Courthouse, located 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville, Ga." said Rick Martin, Director of Communications and Community Relations.

"Voters can always access full voter information including their sample ballot, their absentee ballot request form, and their election day voting precinct by going to www.mvp.sos.ga.gov," Milton Kidd, Director of Elections and Voter Registration.
