Douglasville, GA - Douglas County Board of Commission Chair Dr. Romona Jackson Jones is holding an Emergency Town Hall Virtual Meeting via Zoom.us on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. to provide an update to the public on the latest information regarding COVID-19, also known as the Coronavirus.
Chairman Jones has invited key county officials to participate and provide the latest updates from their departments closely impacted by the emergency healthcare situation Douglas County is facing. Participating in the town hall are Douglas County Fire/EMS Chief Scott Spencer, Director of Douglas County E-911 Operations Greg Whitaker, Director of Douglas County Emergency Management Jason Milhollin, and Director of Communications and Community Relations Rick Martin. In addition, Deputy Director of Cobb & Douglas Public Health Lisa Crossman will provide the latest medical update from Cobb & Douglas Public Health regarding COVID-19.
Douglas County will also be unveiling a new web page that offers one stop shopping of information on the COVID-19. Working in collaboration with Douglas County's Geographic Information Systems headed by Manager Ed Dean, Douglas County will now offer another option to get more information to the ongoing crisis. The meeting is set to last approximately 30 minutes. Members of the Douglas County community are encouraged to attend and be informed during this emergency crisis.
