Living. Growing. Prospering.
The Douglas County Commission Chair Dr. Romona Jackson-Jones wishes to remind the citizens of the importance of wearing face coverings when in public. Recently, Douglas County has seen an increase in positive COVID-19 tests. As of June 22, 2020, Douglas County has 743 positive tests and 36 deaths.
While increased testing results in more positive tests, there is evidence of community spread. Wearing mask and face coverings assist in minimizing the spread of the virus. There has been a noticeable decline in people wearing masks as the coronavirus pandemic continues. So please follow State, Public Health and CDC guidelines to help in slowing the spread of the virus.
