American Red Cross Biomedical Services plays a critical role in our nation's health care system. It is the largest single supplier of blood and blood products in the United States, collecting and processing more than 40 percent of the blood supply and distributing it to some 3,000 hospitals and transfusion centers nationwide.
Americans with intellectual and developmental disabilities have the services and supports they need to grow, develop and live in communities across the nation. These services include early intervention, health care, a free appropriate public education and support for their families. For adults, our services include preparation for employment, job placement, independent living skill training, leisure and recreation activities, and any other support needed.
