    Douglas CORE is a community collaborative representing non-profits, civic organizations, health and human services, education, law enforcement, churches, families and youth. This partnership strives to assess and evaluate present needs and resources for children and families while searching for additional resources to fill in gaps in services and discourage duplication of services.

  2. Douglas County Disabilities Coalition


    Americans with intellectual and developmental disabilities have the services and supports they need to grow, develop and live in communities across the nation. These services include early intervention, health care, a free appropriate public education and support for their families. For adults, our services include preparation for employment, job placement, independent living skill training, leisure and recreation activities, and any other support needed.

  3. Douglasville Community Outreach


    DCC offers an Adopt-a-Family Program to assist those in crisis; food and clothing for disaster relief; international tours for Christian fellowship; parenting skills workshops; business leader symposiums; Back-to-School Festivals; Performing and Visual Arts Programming; Academic Enrichment and Child Development Tutorials.

  4. Loving Hands Ministry


    Loving Hands is a local donation center that serves Douglas County. They help those who qualify for assistance and help with items needed. They can use gently worn clothing, (especially children's), dishes, any household items, furniture and even vehicles that are in good condition.

  5. Travelers Aid


    Travelers Aid is proud to be one of the premiere social services agencies in Metropolitan Atlanta providing a safety net for low-income travelers, newcomers and residents in crisis. Only a handful of other social service agencies have had the longevity (109 years) and impact that Travelers Aid has had in Metropolitan Atlanta, providing assistance (i.e. emergency shelter, food, transportation and counseling) to more than 15,000 people annually and over one million individuals since its inception in 1900.

    United Way exists for one reason - to help us come together as one community to identify and address the issues that affect all of us. Those issues, like making sure children start school ready to learn and helping families become self-sufficient, cross lines of race, gender, geography and faith, and can only be addressed with collective focus and action.
