    The Certified Literate Community Program successfully partners business, education and government to make literacy a community-wide commitment that helps children, families and workers improve their literacy levels. As a collaborative, CLCP tackles the challenges of scarce funding and the need to recruit and retain greater numbers of adult education students. These partnerships produce successful public awareness and fund development campaigns, proving that a community can be a powerful, self-managed force for literacy

  2. LEAD: Learning for Every Adult

    The purpose of LEAD is to support adult literacy programs in Douglas County. Partnering with West Georgia Technical College and the Douglas County Literacy Council, LEAD's goal is to reduce illiteracy in Douglas County by over 51% over the next 10 years.
