    The Douglas County Task Force is committed to eradicating domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence through a complete and coordinated community response. Each month local agency representatives and citizens meet to prevent, protect and educate the community on domestic violence, stalking, and sexual assault, and to hold the perpetrators accountable.     Community Services
    The Task Force also offers free awareness education to the community including Church youth groups, congregations, civic organizations, hospitals and employers. Please call 770.575.1875 for more information.

    Victim Services
    The Task Force offers free and confidential services to victims of domestic violence, stalking and sexual assault. Services include but are not limited to assistance in obtaining a Temporary Protective Order, safety planning, support groups, hospital and Court accompaniment, and a 24/7 crisis line.     The Junior League of Douglas County is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. We reach out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to volunteerism.

    PRC Medical is the pregnancy resource center of Douglas County that was opened in July of 1985 and is supported solely by donations from businesses, individuals, and churches in the Douglas County area. The purpose of the Center is to make sure women and young girls in our area are provided with support as they face the crucial decisions surrounding crisis pregnancies. Believing that the best choice is an informed one, the women are educated and counseled on the emotional, physical, and spiritual effects of each alternative. All our services are free and confidential including:

    • Promotion of Sexual Health & Integrity
    • Pregnancy Testing & Counseling
    • Parent Mentoring Program
    • Limited Ultrasound
    • STD Testing & Treatment
    • Post-Abortion Counseling

  4. SHARE House


    S.H.A.R.E. House provides an array of services for victims of domestic violence. Helping victims of domestic violence with: developing a safety plan, obtaining safe shelter, filing for a Temporary Protective Order (TPO), and other services as appropriate to each individual situation.
