Post Road/Bankhead Highway/Mann Road/Mason Creek Road Intersection Reconstruction Project
The proposed project will add a traffic signal at the intersection of Bankhead Highway/Mann Road/Mason Creek Road; left-turn lanes in all directions; and right-turn lanes on Bankhead Highway and Mason Creek Road. The northern end of Post Road will be re-routed to Mason Creek Road so the existing angled intersection with Bankhead Highway will be eliminated. Conners Road North at Bankhead Highway will be re-aligned into a perpendicular intersection, and the angled intersection of Conners Road South with Bankhead Highway will be eliminated. Please see downloadable document on the right-hand side of this page for a graphic of the proposed project.
Mason Creek Road Paving
Mason Creek Road between Post Road and Cowan Mill Road is scheduled to be resurfaced before year end 2011. There has been some delay due to the rebuilding of the Mason Creek Bridge and the heavy trucks in and out. However, the bid has been let and you should see progress in the resurfacing of this stretch of road soon.
