Overview:
Community-minded businesses make September Saturdays possible!

September Saturdays remains free admission, free parking, and open to everyone due to the generosity of our sponsors!

Why be a sponsor of September Saturdays?

  • It is Douglas County's largest annual festival, and in 2012, averaged an estimated 15,000+ visitors each Saturday. In its 11th year, the festival has a proven track record.
  • Sponsors receive a marketing package that includes:
    • brand identification on dctv23 (the Douglas County government access television channel for 2 months);
    • brand identification on all event flyers and advertisements, including the September issue of Chapel Hill News and Views (45,000 print volume); 15,000 color flyers (distributed to every elementary school student in the Douglas County School System, through public libraries, and numerous other public locations);
    • on-site announcements, banners, promotions; and
    • prime event location with as much physical space is desired.
  • Douglas County Communications staff will work with you to develop a festival marketing plan to highlight your organization's exposure and Mission to festival-goers.

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Presenting Sponsorships: $3,000
Presenting sponsors have their name above the event title, and receive extensive marketing prior to and during the festival, including but not limited to, name/logo on 20,000 flyers, web site, press releases, and two months of brand identification/logo/name on dctv23. Presenting sponsors get first choice of festival location for their tents, and get as much space as they desire. Presenting sponsors are exclusive in their field of endeavor; no other businesses in their field are in the festival.

Gold Sponsorships: $1,500
Gold sponsors have their name below the event title, and receive extensive marketing prior to and during the festival, including but not limited to, name/logo on 20,000 flyers, web site, press releases, and two months of brand identification/logo/name on dctv23. Gold sponsors receive prime locations for their festival tents, and get as much space as they desire. Gold sponsors are exclusive in their field of endeavor; no other businesses in their field are in the festival.

Silver Sponsorships: $500
Silver sponsors have their name below the Gold sponsors, and receive extensive marketing prior to and during the festival, including but not limited to, name/logo on 20,000 flyers, web site, press releases, and two months of brand identification/logo/name on dctv23. Silver sponsors receive prime locations for their festival tents, and get as much space as they desire. Silver sponsors are not exclusive in their field of endeavor; other businesses in their field may be involved in the festival.

Exclusive sponsorships are not available to political parties or candidates. Presenting, Gold, and Silver sponsorships are not available to political parties or candidates. On-site sponsorships are available to political parties or candidates.

ON-SITE SPONSORSHIPS
On-site sponsorships are available for the following festival features. Each sponsorship is $1,500.
  • Train (1 sponsorship - already taken for 2012)
    The festival train is an annual feature that rides children and adults through part of the Courthouse grounds. There is no charge to ride the train, and its sponsor uses their tent as the "train station" through which everyone boards the train. The sponsor can also place their logo signs on the side of the train.
  • Children's Play Area (1 sponsorship available)
    The children's play area includes huge inflatable games, slides and jump houses. There is no charge to play on the inflatables. The sponsor has their tent in the middle of the play area and can have signs designation "children's play area sponsored by ___".
  • Carnival Ride (1 sponsorship - already taken for 2012)
    The carnival ride is located in the feature area. There is no charge to ride the carnival ride, and its sponsor uses their tent as the "entry" through which everyone boards the ride. The sponsor may place signs on the safety fence surrounding the ride>
  • Shuttles (1 sponsorship available)
    Shuttle vans transport festival patrons to/from the Woodie Fite Senior Center parking lot, the Multimodal Transportation Center parking lot, and the festival grounds. There is no charge to ride the shuttle. Its sponsor can post signs on the vans that say "shuttle service sponsored by ___" and can have its tent as the drop off/waiting area for the shuttle service.
  • Movies (1 sponsorship available)
    The family movies are at 8 p.m. and are shown on an outdoor screen. Viewers bring their lawn chairs and blankets to view the movie. The movie sponsor will be the only vendor with a tent in the movie area, and can distribute information/promotional material to the movie patrons prior to the movie. The sponsor will receive screen credit prior to the movie as its sponsor.

On-site Sponsorships are available to political parties and candidates.
