Friends of the Dog River Library
6100 Georgia Highway 5
Douglasville, Georgia 30135
The Friends of the Dog River Library is an auxiliary organization that enhances the Library's role by providing special events, monetary support and volunteer services. Formed as the Dog River Library was being constructed, the Friends planned and accomplished several book collections and sales, raising over $3,000! We continue to raise money and sponsor programs for the Dog River Library, including "Words in the Woods" (author book readings and signings), used book collections and sales, and holiday programs. The monies raised by the Friends will assist the Library staff to positively affect the lives of thousands of residents by:
- reading programs
- equipment and furnishings, and
- children's programming.
If you love books and reading, value the services that the Dog River Library provides, and want to play an active and vital role in the life of the Library, the Friends are for you! Annual memberships run January through December. Your membership contribution is tax-deductible to the extent of the law. The Friends of the Dog River Library is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
