Deputy County Administrator
Frederick Perry, MPA, CPM
Mr. Frederick Perry currently serves as the Deputy County Administrator for the Douglas County Board of Commissioners. Under the direction of the County Administrator, Mr. Perry’s responsibilities entail oversight of the county’s Operations Division, which consists of two functional units and associated departments that include Human Resources, Risk and Safety, Purchasing, Records, Public Works (Street / ROW Maintenance, Fleet Management, Solid Waste, and Landfill Operations). Frederick also has direct oversight of the county’s Comprehensive Improvement Plan and its Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax program or SPLOST.
Mr. Perry holds a Master of Public Administration Degree from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Clark Atlanta University. Additionally, Mr. Perry earned the Certified Public Manager designation from the University of Georgia, a Project Management Professional Certificate from the University of Miami, and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the Society of Human Resource Management.
Frederick is a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and participates on the Social Action Committee, Fundraising Committee and serves as the Immediate Past President of the 501c3 Steppingstones Foundation, which is the philanthropic division of the Mu Mu Mu Chapter of Omega Psi Phi, located in Douglas County. Mr. Perry also serves as a Match Mentor in the Douglas County School System.
Frederick is a native of Milwaukee Wisconsin but has been a resident Georgian for over 30 years, and currently resides in Douglasville, Ga. with his wife of 20 years, Mrs. LaShanda K. Perry. Frederick is an avid runner, cyclist, and music enthusiast. Frederick is a member of the Word of Faith Family Worship Cathedral.
