The Douglas County Comprehensive Plan is underway! The State of Georgia requires cities and counties to update their Comprehensive Plan every five years. You can find the current Comprehensive Plan on the Planning and Zoning page of the Douglas County website, along with a number of other small area plans and studies. Planning and Zoning staff made the formal Kick Off presentation at the August 2, 2022 Meeting of the Douglas County Board of Commissioners. At this hearing, citizens had the opportunity to learn about the update process and understand opportunities for engagement. An overview is provided below.
