Save the Dates! Two small area plans will be undertaken along with the Comprehensive Plan Update. On December 7, the community is invited to gather for the Lithia Springs small area plan. And on December 8, there will be a similar opportunity for Winston. The Community is invited to share their feedback at both of these sessions. The invitation to both of these sessions are below. Keep an eye on the website for more information closer to the dates!
In 2021, a substantial portion of the southern part of Douglas County was studied as a part of the South Douglas Scenic Byway. The Corridor Management Plan that was developed as a part of that study informs the policy recommendations for the Comprehensive Plan Update. Similarly, the small area plans developed for the Winston and Lithia Springs communities, will provide a greater degree of detail about future development and land use in these areas.
