Connect Douglas is the commuter-focused public transit program of the Douglas County Board of Commissioners through its Department of Multi-Modal Transportation Services. As a recipient of grant funds from the Federal Transit Administration, Connect Douglas is required to adhere to the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 under the U.S. Department of Transportation's Title VI regulations as specified in 49 CFR Part 21.
As part of the Title VI Program policy, Connect Douglas will be holding a public open forum on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Connect Douglas Multi-Modal Transportation Center at 8800 Dorris Road, Douglasville, GA 30134.
Connect Douglas welcomes the public to the Multi-Modal Transportation Center for more information regarding all current transit services, the Title VI policy, and the Title VI complaint process. The forum will be held prior to the Douglas County Board of Commissioners virtual public hearing at their regularly scheduled Board meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 via Zoom (Call-in# 888 788 0099; Meeting ID# 990 5147 4719) for the purposes of obtaining public input prior to adoption of the Title VI Program Plan for Connect Douglas Transit Services.
In addition to the public forum, Connect Douglas will accept comments and questions on the Title VI Policy through emails and letters until Monday, September 13, 2021.
