The Douglas County Board of Commissioners plans to host a brand-new Leadership Academy for a select group of Douglas County senior leaders this summer.  The intense, comprehensive, and robust professional development three-day program will be held July 11-July 13, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Douglasville Conference Center, located at 6700 Church Street, Douglasville, GA..

“The Board of Commissioners and I know the importance of providing learning and development opportunities for the people in key leadership positions” said County Chairwoman Dr. Romona Jackson Jones.  “We want to continue our efforts, offering key opportunities to strengthen leadership capabilities amongst our government team.”

The 2022 Leadership Academy will provide a unique experience of in-depth learning, engaging discussions with other leaders, and practical applications as they collaborate to enhance their leadership capabilities.

“During the academy,  participants will focus on excellence in public service, project and program management and case studies to support the learning experience” said Lionel Savage, President of Lionheart Consulting Group, LLC. “Strong leadership is the energy that fuels every great organization.”

This year’s session is a follow-up to the 2020 leadership academy where more than thirty Douglas County leaders participated.
