How can I get an absentee ballot?

You must apply in writing for an absentee ballot and send or fax your request to the Voter Registration Office by the Friday preceding the election. There is an absentee ballot form that can be picked up in the Voter Registration Office or downloaded from the Secretary of State’s website.

You may also request an absentee ballot by writing on a piece of paper the following information:

  1. Your name
  2. Street address, city, state and zip code
  3. Date of birth
  4. Reason you are requesting the absentee ballot
  5. Sign the request

You can also come to the Voter Registration Office in the Courthouse and request an absentee ballot not more than 180 days preceding the election.
